Dear Friend,

On behalf of the Students for a Free Tibet team, we thank everyone who participated in the Global Day of Action to #ResistCCP. As one of the core organizers of GDA, we did exactly what we set out to do, shame the Chinese government on the founding anniversary of the People's Republic of China, and to unite in solidarity with millions of our brothers and sisters worldwide who are suffering under CCP tyranny.

GDA was a day of movements uniting against the Chinese Communist Party through organizing mass protests all over the world, with nearly 200 movement-based organizations, in 90 towns and cities, across 40 countries, and 6 continents! This is by far the largest ever cross-movement strategic alliance, coming together to fight for freedom, democracy, and human rights in China and its occupied countries.

The brutal occupation of Tibet and 500,000 Tibetans in forced labor camps, arbitrary detention of millions of Uyghurs in internment camps, loss of fundamental freedoms in Hong Kong, erasure of Southern Mongolian culture and language, intimidation and bullying of Taiwan, and the detention, disappearance, and silencing of countless Chinese lawyers and activists illustrate the scale of repression across the country.

This powerful and unprecedented show of solidarity demonstrates increasing alignment with the growing peoples' resistance against the Chinese Communist regime. We have put the Chinese government on notice; the world's eyes are on them and that the ongoing persecution of Tibetans, Uyghurs, Southern Mongolians, Hong Kongers, Chinese people must immediately cease.

With increased repression, there will be more resistance, and we are united in our fight for freedom. US Congressman Tom Suozzi shared on his social media, "Today I spoke at the Global Day of Action in resistance to the Chinese Communist Party's ongoing and abhorrent abuses of human rights. Whether it's Tibetan Buddhists, Uyghur Muslims, Christians, or the students in Hong Kong, we need to stand up and push back against the Chinese Communist Party for its violations of basic human rights. Crimes against humanity, forced labor camps, forced sterilizations, and religious persecution. We must continue to stand up, speak out, and fight for human rights, both here and abroad."
